About Henry

Tricker's Henry slip on elastic brogue country boot is perfect for wear whenever you need it. This elastic sided brogue pull on boot has a storm welt, leather uppers and leather linings for a soilid build and excellent comfort, together with a Commando rubber stitched sole for grip in any terrain.

The Henry boot is one of our best sellers; their simple yet sleek design makes them extremely versatile, with use from agricultural purposes, farming, hiking and even smarter usage and they can be worn with virtually any style of clothing from casual wear to tailored suits.

Leather Information

Like a painter before a canvas, our expert colourist, World Championship Patina finalist, Sam Norsworthy plays with tints, Saphir dyes and essential oils that help to create a masterpiece. The finish is truly outstanding with each pair expertly polished and creamed. The cream acts as a gentle moisturiser and helps to nourish the leather, bringing out the depth and lustre of the craftsperson’s patina artistry.

It takes Sam over three hours to create a patina effect on just one pair of shoes. It’s a process that has to be built up and refined, with care and attention. Patina is more than just an aesthetic, it’s a statement of quality and class.

Patination is a delicate art that demands subtlety and precision. The dyes give the patina its outstanding colour and the soft sheen that develops through use and exposure on the surface of the leather provides richer character and personality to the Henry boot.

Built to Last

As with all of our shoes and boots, each pair of Henry Boots are handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 construction processes used to make each pair from start to finish.

Our story is one of uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.

Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.

We have five Saphir products available to assist with aftercare for these Henry Patina Boots.

A Saphir Shea Butter Based "Creme" will be available in neutral. This should be used to help moisturise the boots and keep the leather supple. A cream must always be applied before a wax. Gentle heat can be applied to existing polish and wiped off with a rag so that you can apply a cream.

A Saphir Medaille D'or Wax Polish will be available in Neutral and Black. Neutral should be used to maintain the boot's colour whilst black should be used to add a more pigmented protective layer.

A Saphir Medaille D'or Mirror Gloss Polish will be available in Neutral and Black. Neutral should be used to maintain the boot's colour whilst black should be used to add a more pigmented gloss. These two products are made up of harder waxes and are for those that wish to elevate the shine or create a glaçage to their boots. The Wax Polish and Mirror Gloss can be applied in harmony with one another.

Size - LAST No: 4444

This last has been in existence for decades, and its sizes are therefore non-standard - this is part of our history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last is larger than a regular UK size by half a size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use the conversion chart below to convert your known size to a UK size. Then take off half a size. So if you normally take a UK size 8 (equivalent to US size 9, Japan size 27 and EU size 42), we recommend you order a size 7½; if you normally take a UK size 11½, we recommend you order a size 11; and so on.
