Shoe Room

In the shoe room a Tricker’s sock liner is fitted to the shoes for comfort. The shoes are cleaned, and various creams and wax polish is generously applied to dress the uppers and create a patina. Having been left overnight to moisturise, the shoes are then burnished and polished by hand to create the final lustre. This process is repeated several times over for some leathers.

On all the Trickers shoes in Museum Calf leather  these are finger polished, a delicate and precise technique, which has been honed to create a phenomenal mirror shine for every pair. Each shoe is polished, working with the grain of the leather, to create this beautiful finish. The shoe room is the last room before it goes to our Final Inspection room.
