About

Eva is a new style for our Women's range, introduced for our Autumn / Winter 2022 catalogue. Eva is a classic Penny Loafer that has been built on the 6230 Last, this fits true to UK size.

For many years, Tricker’s has made various designs of the classic loafer. A firm favourite in our Men's collection is James. Eva resembles our James Penny Loafer, however Eva features a Vi-Lite sole.

Maintaining momentum in the ever-changing world of fashion and footwear is not as easy as it may appear. While we want to add new designs and finishes, we realise the importance of staying true to Tricker’s reputation for outstanding manufacturing and quality. Providing Eva with a Vi-Lite sole adds a ‘chunky’ aesthetic to the style and helps with fashionable appeal.

Eva is available in Olivvia Black & Espresso, Cafe Repello Suede, and Visone Repello Suede.

Leather Information

Repello Suede is a fine nap suede made from calfskin. The hide is split and aniline-dyed to create a velvety effect on both sides of the leather. The Repello suede used in Tricker’s footwear is a range of high quality, tanned to give a full, generous handle and rich appearance.

Fully treated with ‘Scotch Guard’ in the tannage, to achieve a high degree of resistance to staining in general. The proofing remains effective throughout the life of the footwear.

To maintain your Eva Loafers in Repello Suede, we recommend using a rubber suede brush. Do not use a wired brush on any suede, as this can damage the leather.

Olivvia Leather is made from a very special tanning brew using the leaves of Olives; this brew has been patented and is named Olivenleder® (Olive Leather in English).

Olivenleder® is an entirely organic brew and all waste can be used as a natural fertiliser including the leaves and leather shavings. The olive leaves are entirely sustainable and are a by-product of the Olive Oil industry which are traditionally burnt, millions of which fall during the Olive harvest.

The result is Olivvia, the highest quality hides, tanned using Olivenleder (that is edible) to the highest specification and setting the bar in tanning standards. This is sustainable, luxurious leather with no tricks.

To maintain your Eva Loafers in Olivvia Leather, we recommend using dark brown shoe polish, along with a horsehair polish brush.

Built to last

As with all of our shoes and boots, each pair of Eva Loafers are handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 construction processes used to make each pair from start to finish. Our story is one of uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, which are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.

Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
