Stow is Tricker’s most iconic men’s boot. Made originally as a country boot, but now worn by men all around the world across fields and cities. The Stow Derby ankle boot is instantly recognisable for its brogue patterning synonymous to Tricker’s; however its strong, solid build and seven eyelets make it as recognisable, whilst by no means flashy. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the boot to provide a watertight seal, with the storm welt providing an additional waterproof seal between the shoe's upper and sole. Our classic Stow boot features leather linings and the option of either a traditional leather sole or a Dainite sole for more practicality.

As with all of our shoes and boots, each pair of Stow boots are handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 processes used to make each pair from start to finish.

Our uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.

Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.

Colour Information

C Shade Tan is a colour that harks back to our heritage. Traditionally, Tans came in levels starting from A upwards. C-shade is the tone we adopted and all our traditional country shoes are available in this colour. It's a very flat tone, with a matted lustre that is unusual to most leathers - a must have for any shoe collector.

C-shade requires a high level substance (the thickness) only achievable from the hides of heavier and older animals - our C-shade shoes and boots are made using sustainably sourced Bull’s hides. The result is a really robust leather that wears in beautifully and can really stand the test of time.

Leather Information

C-Shade Tan is a colour that harks back to our heritage. Traditionally, Tans came in levels starting from A upwards. C-shade is the tone we adopted and all our traditional country shoes are available in this colour. Due to the follicle hairs it's a very flat tone, with a matted lustre that is unusual to most leathers - a must have for any shoe collector.

C-shade requires a high level substance (the thickness) only achievable from the hides of heavier and older animals - our C-shade shoes and boots are made using sustainably sourced Bull’s hides. The result is a really robust leather that wears in beautifully and can really stand the test of time. C-Shade has a good degree of water resistance and due to its hard-wearing qualities is ideal for our country footwear.

From new, we advise using Neutral Polish to help maintain a pair of shoes in C-Shade. If you would like to add some more colour to your C-Shade leather then we advise using Fawn Polish. If you have a natural welt on your footwear then please be careful when using Fawn Polish. If you use Fawn Polish on a natural welt then it will stain.
