Bourton Country Shoe - Olivvia Classic Lightweight
About Bourton
Bourton is our iconic men’s country shoe. These shoes are a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, and yet today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world. The Bourton is unmistakable - a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the storm welt provides an additional watertight seal between the shoe's upper and sole.
This Edition
Our ‘Lightweight’ sole construction has been used which entails removing the midsole or ‘through’ as it's traditionally known. This removes weight and adds flexibility without compromising on quality or durability.
After several seasons of working in partnership with Wet-Green (the creators of Olivenleder) and Weinheimer Tannery (who create our exclusive Olivvia Leather) we have now created our classic Black & Espresso Calf using the vegetable tanning process as part of our mission to ensure of sustainability. Our goal is to use this Leather across all of our shoes and boots which are classic black calf skin. This initial collection uses a Vibram Vi-Lite sole to give a rugged commando sole look whilst being extremely lightweight and cushioned.
Olivvia Leather is exclusive to Tricker’s and is tanned using Olive leaves, this is fully sustainable and every piece of waste in the process can go back into the land. You can rest assured that Olivvia is truly sustainable, exceeding every standard set by those who created the tanning liquor. Tricker’s is honoured to be the only shoemaker in the world using Olivvia leather.
Built to Last
Each and every pair of Tricker's is handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 processes used to make each pair from start to finish.
Our uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.
Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
