When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style. You’ll find this heavy brogue Derby shoe

Bourton is our iconic men’s country shoe. These shoes are a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, and yet today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world. The Bourton is unmistakable - a heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. A half bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, and the storm welt provides an additional waterproof seal between the shoe's upper and sole. The profile of a Bourton is characteristically strong; with a solid sole unit, leather linings and the option of traditional leather soles or a Dainite sole for practicality.

As with all of our shoes and boots, each pair of Bourton shoes are handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 construction processes used to make each pair from start to finish.

Our story is one of uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.

Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.

About Bourton

Leather Information

A deep, rich brown just like a really good espresso should be. Our Espresso Burnished colourway is the perfect tone for those not wanting to wear black. Perfect for all occasions and beautiful when ages and full of the character gained from plenty of wear.

This Bourton is made from calf leather. Calf leather is finer grained, and lighter in weight than the hide of older cattle. This means that it is also more supple. It is also very durable in comparison to its thickness.

We advise using a Brown polish to help care for these. As you put the polish on, darker patches will appear which is the burnish. Don't be afraid, this is the affect of the shoe.
