About Winston

The 'Winston' chukka boot is another from our archives and has been handcrafted in our factory in Northampton, England.

The popularity of Chukka boots as an everyday men’s style began in the late 1940s, inspired by the boots worn by British Army soldiers during the Western Desert Campaign of the second world war

The boot comes with 3 'blind' eyelets, full leather lining, natural crepe rubber sole. Made on the classic 4497s last, this fits true to size.

This Edition

Available in Cubanna & Chocolate Castorino suede.

Castorino Suede is a high-quality, full reverse suede. Reverse suede - also known as full-grain suede - is better quality than split suede which some shoemakers use. In Castorino Suede the full-grain leather and skin of a hide are left intact and the flesh side is the suede.

Castorino is extremely lightweight and features a very fine nap.

Crepe Sole

Plantation Crepe Rubber is a natural material that's predominantly made from latex tapped from trees. Sheets of Crepe Rubber are cut into soles and heels for shoes and boots. Softening with each wear, the material provides excellent traction and cushioning for your feet.
