About Guildford

Guildford is classic Chukka Boot. For this edition, we have used Black Calf Leather, as well as Snuff and Chocolate Repello Suede, and Brown Muflone. Guildford is fully leather lined throughout, made up on an Ultraflex sole. This means that the Chukka is lighter and more flexible than our traditional leather sole but without any compromise on quality. With three blind eyelets and cotton laces. Suitable for casual, smart, and formal occasions.

Leather Information

Calf leather is finer grained, and lighter in weight than the hide of older cattle. This means that it is also more supple. It is also very durable in comparison to its thickness. For a pair of Guildford Chukka Boots in Black Calf Leather we recommend using a Black or Neutral polish to help maintain the boots. You can also use a Black or Neutral shoe cream to help moisturise the leather, as and when it may need it.

Repello Suede is a fine nap suede made from calfskin. The hide is split and aniline-dyed to create a velvety effect on both sides of the leather. The repello suede used in Tricker’s footwear is a range of high quality, tanned to give a full, generous handle and rich appearance. Fully treated with ‘Scotch Guard’ in the tannage, to achieve a high degree of resistance to staining in general. The proofing remains effective throughout the life of the footwear. We recommend using a rubber Suede Brush to help maintain a pair of Guildford Chukka Boots in Repello Suede Leather. Do not use a wired brush as this can damage the nap.

Built to Last

As with all of our shoes and boots, each pair of Guildford Chukka Boots are handmade within our Northampton factory in England by craftsmen and women using traditional methods, and to the same exacting standards that first established our reputation. There are 260 construction processes used to make each pair from start to finish.

Our story is one of uncompromising standards of craftsmanship and use of honest materials, are values that have been preserved and developed through five generations and are observed as resolutely today as they were in 1829. When you choose Tricker’s, you never have to choose between practicality, durability and style.

Since 1989, Tricker's has held a Royal Warrant for shoe manufacturing awarded by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
