WORKING AT TRICKER'S
“I joined Tricker’s as an apprentice in 2016. Having developed my skills under wing of the master shoemaker I have now successfully completed my apprenticeship and am progressing within the bespoke shoe department. My role is interesting and diverse and I enjoy being able to craft each day.
Tricker’s fine heritage, authenticity and craftsmanship are some of the reasons why I came here. Tricker’s is also the only Northampton-based shoemaker to have a fully functioning in-house bespoke shoemaking department. Every part of the process is made here under one roof.”
WORKING AT TRICKER'S
“I joined the shoemaking industry when I left school, I have worked for several of Northampton's shoemakers and recently joined Tricker's. In a week, I stitch over 200 pairs of shoes and have an extensive knowledge of stitching machines however I am known at Tricker’s as ‘Utility Worker’because I have worked in all the departments, I can turn my hand to any machine if required.
Everyone here puts their hearts into making the shoes and boots. Management are good teachers and they listen. They are interested in looking after the staff.
In my short time at Tricker’s I have been lucky to be chosen to take part in two great events. The most important was meeting HRH Prince Charles during his visit to our factory. I was also included in the recent Made in Britain BBC TV series when the programme chose Tricker’s for their shoemaking episode.”
