Fit 5 - The Standard Width: Most of our men's shoes and boots fall under Tricker's Width Fit 5. These are designed to accommodate the needs of most men and are considered a standard width. In the UK, this standard width is also known as an F fitting, while in the USA, it's referred to as a D fitting. In other parts of the world, it's recognized as an M (medium) or R (regular) fitting. Iconic collections like the Stow country boot, Bourton country shoe, and Robert town shoe are great examples of our Fit 5 styles.
Fit 6 - The Wider Option: For those with wider feet, Tricker's offers shoes and boots under Tricker's Width Fit 6. In the UK, this wider fit is known as a G fitting, in the USA as an E fitting, and in other regions as a W (wide) fitting. If a shoe or boot falls under Fit 6, you'll find it clearly labelled in the product details. Styles like the Malton country boot and Keswick country shoe are excellent choices for those seeking a little extra room and comfort.

The Malton Country Boot is one of Tricker’s most iconic men’s boots that is available in our wider 6 fitting. Made originally as a country boot, but now worn by men all around the world across fields and cities. The Malton Derby ankle boot is instantly recognisable for its brogue patterning synonymous with Tricker’s; with its strong, solid build and seven eyelets that make it a best-selling Tricker's look.
The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s 6 fitting) is wider than our standard 5 fitting last. We recommend dropping at least a half size from your regular UK size. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.
Understated, stylish and practical, the Matlock Country rugged toe-capped Derby shoe is ideal for the hard-working, hard-walking man. In robust Brown Zug Grain, with bellows tongue, full-grain leather uppers and linings along with a storm welt and a Commando sole to guarantee comfort and durability. Please note this is a 6-fitting shoe for wider feet.
Tough on the outside, and soft on the inside, the Keswick Country heavy brogue Derby shoe is comfortable to wear. In C Shade Tan, with bellows tongue, storm welt, leather uppers and leather linings for extra comfort, and commando stitched soles for a longer life. These have been a staple of the Tricker's catalogue for a reason.
The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4444) 6-fitting is much larger than a regular UK size. by half a size in length and extremely wider. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size. Then take off half a size.
So if you normally take a UK size 8 (equivalent to US size 9, Japan size 27 and EU size 42), we recommend you order a size 7½ and so on.
